The Ministry's decision was based on the suggestions made by the COVID-19 Working Group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI). In a series of approvals from December 2021 to April 2022, Corbevax had obtained emergency use authorisation as a primary two-dose immunisation regimen in adults, adolescents, and children 5 years of age and older. The company has given the Indian government 10 crore Corbevax pills. The vaccination for children between the ages of 12 and 14 started to be distributed across India on March 16.
