84 medication formulations, including those used to treat diabetes, headaches, and high blood pressure, have had their retail pricing set by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA). The price of formulations that are intended to lower high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, among other things, has also been set by the authorities. The NPPA has set the retail prices of the pharmaceuticals in accordance with the authority granted by the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, the regulator stated in a notification. A single Voglibose and (SR) Metformin Hydrochloride pill would cost Rs 10.47, excluding GST, according to the ruling. The cost of paracetamol and caffeine per pill has also been set at Rs 2.88. Additionally, the cost of a single capsule of rosuvastatin, aspirin, and clopidogrel has been set at Rs 13.91. The new ceiling price for liquid medical oxygen and oxygen inhalation (medical gas) has been extended through September 30th, according to a supplementary announcement from the NPPA.
