Osteoarthritis, a degenerative bone disease, may make living extremely difficult. The condition gradually deteriorates your joint health, causing movement problems and terrible discomfort. Because our general bone health tends to deteriorate as we age, osteoarthritis has been largely associated with old age. However, in recent years, this illness has grown extremely widespread among teenagers.
Experts believe that our shifting lifestyle is to blame for this shift. Our bone and joint health can be harmed by a sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Excess weight or a lack of physical exercise mixed with a bad diet causes the cartilage surrounding the bones to wear away. When the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones breaks down over time, osteoarthritis develops. Although osteoarthritis can affect any joint, it is most typically seen in the hands, knees, hips, and spine. Some major causes of Osteoarthritis among youth are: - sedentary or inactive lifestyle, sitting for lengthy periods of time, Heavy lifting, being overweight or obese, Joint traumas, Birth abnormalities, Diabetes, Osteoarthritis runs in the family. Major Symptoms include: Joint discomfort, Mobility difficulties, Tension near a joint, Exhaustion (lack of energy) or weakness, Depression, Fever.
